A: Dr. Renée was originally trained as a specialist in women’s health and that is still her primary focus. However, Dr. Renée does provide holistic healthcare to men for medically-supervised weight loss management with compounded GLP-1 medications.
For women, Dr. Renée can provide her full scope of services including medically-supervised weight loss management, bio-identical hormone therapy (BHRT) for all delivery forms of BHRT (creams, suppositories, troches etc, but with a special focus on injectable BHRT), sexual vitality and more! Dr. Renée welcomes all patients, regardless of gender or gender identity.
A: Most clients work with me for a minimum of 6-12 months. Your individual goals, efforts, and unique makeup will determine the precise treatment duration.
A. What are GLP-1s and how do they aid in weight loss?
GLP-1s (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 receptor agonists) are a class of medications originally developed for diabetes management. They also offer significant benefits for weight loss by reducing appetite, slowing digestion, and promoting a feeling of fullness, ultimately leading to reduced calorie intake and weight loss.
Who is a suitable candidate for GLP-1s for weight loss?
GLP-1s can be considered for individuals struggling with obesity or excess weight who have not achieved desired results through diet and exercise alone. Dr. Renée will assess your medical history and determine if GLP-1s are a suitable option for you
How are GLP-1s administered?
GLP-1s are typically administered as a subcutaneous injection, similar to insulin. Depending on the specific medication, injections can be daily, weekly, or even monthly. Dr. Renée and the compounding pharmacy will guide you on the appropriate dosing schedule.
What benefits can I expect from using GLP-1s for weight loss?
GLP-1s have shown significant potential for weight loss, often resulting in a moderate to substantial reduction in body weight (~15-20%). In addition, they may improve metabolic markers and contribute to better blood sugar control.
Are there potential side effects associated with GLP-1s?
Like any medication, GLP-1s may have side effects. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. These effects are often temporary and tend to improve over time. Dr. Renée will discuss potential side effects and how to manage them.
How long does it take to see results with GLP-1s?
Individual responses may vary, but many people begin to see noticeable weight loss within a few weeks to a few months of starting GLP-1 therapy. Consistency with treatment, a healthy lifestyle, and regular follow-ups with your Dr. Renée contribute to optimal results
Can GLP-1s be used in conjunction with other weight loss strategies?
Yes, GLP-1s can complement other weight loss efforts such as diet and exercise. Combining GLP-1 therapy with a comprehensive approach to lifestyle changes often yields the best outcomes.
Is GLP-1 therapy a long-term solution for weight loss?
The duration of GLP-1 therapy varies for each individual. It can be used for both short-term and long-term weight management. Dr. Renée will work with you to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on your goals and progress.
How do I get started with GLP-1 therapy for weight loss?
To begin GLP-1 therapy, schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Renée who specializes in weight management. She will evaluate your health, discuss your weight loss goals, and determine if GLP-1s are a suitable option for you
What pharmacies do my prescriptions come from?
Eterna only use PCAB/503a FDA certified pharmacies which ship to all of the states Eterna provides medical services to patients. Since Eterna is a cash-based practice, you can pay for your compounded GLP-1s via major credit cards or HSA/FSA cards.
A: Every woman on this planet, barring some tragedy, will experience menopause. The term “menopause” literally means the cessation of periods. But that is a tiny fraction of what menopause is and what it means for a woman’s health!
Menopause is the cessation of ovarian function. One of the primary jobs of the ovaries is to produce estrogen, and so when a woman transitions through menopause, she loses her estrogen and all of the hormonal rhythms that are foundational to female health.
Estrogen is antiinflammatory. It is cardio- and neuro-protective. It is essential to proper immune system functioning. It plays a critical role in the health of the gut microbiome. Virtually every cell in the female body has receptors for estrogen.
Consequently, when a woman transitions through menopause, every organ and system in her body suffers.
At Eterna Vitality and Wellness by Dr. Renée, we understand that menopause is not just about the loss of your periods. We have a wide range of therapies that support your body through this transition and beyond. We utilize bioidentical hormone replacement, supplements that lower inflammation and reverse midlife weight gain, and lifestyle routines that improve sleep, metabolic health, and mood.
In the Eterna Menopausal Transitions BHRT program, we assess and address the health of your:
Heart and cardiovascular system
Diabetes risk factors
Muscle and bone composition
SleepMood and mental health
Skin
Hair
Nutrition
Fitness
Menopause affects your whole body. We provide comprehensive, whole-body solutions so you can look and feel your best though your menopausal years and far, far beyond.
We Only Prescribe Bio-Identical Hormonal Replacement Therapy for Women
Bio-identical hormones have the same molecular structure as those naturally found in our body. Because these hormones are exact replicas they mimic the pathways and signaling of normally occurring hormones in the body. The names of these hormones are testosterone, estrogen, thyroid progesterone, DHEA and pregnolone.
Conventional synthetic hormone therapy (CHT) is not identical to naturally occurring hormones. These hormones have a structure that is similar but are not exactly the same produced by our body. CHT include medications such as Premarin™, Provera™ (medroxyprogesterone acetate), Evista™, Activella™, all oral contraceptives, levonorgestrel and norethindrone.
Dr. Renée specializes in the evaluation and treatment of women’s hormones and alleviating the symptoms of hormone deficiency

Why choose our Menopause Program?
At Eterna Vitality and Wellness by Dr. Renée we understand the roles played by estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone in maintaining optimal health, but are not one-dimensional in our thinking.
We appreciate the many systemic changes taking place during the menopause, and we craft treatment programs that address the many complexities of this transition and of the final chapter of a woman’s life, potentially extending for 50 years.
BHRT replacement can be a safe and effective way of turning back many symptoms of low or unbalanced hormones. Women can be treated by a variety of different methods. At Eterna we deliver BHRT with creams, gels, pills, troches, nasal sprays, suppositories and injections. We do NOT offer pellet hormone therapy.
We begin the process of creating your individualized treatment plan by taking an extensive personal history that covers past medical conditions, as well as examining toxic chemical exposures, stress-inducing life events, patterns of physical activity and sedentary behaviors, personal relationships, quality of sleep, dietary patterns, and many other complicating factors.
We then proceed with advanced testing that details your hormonal, metabolic, and inflammatory status, your nutritional status; and a myriad of other factors as indicated by your personal history.
We work with you, and only with your agreement, to optimize your hormones with bioidentical hormone replacement, and fine tune your nutritional status, your level of fitness, control your stress, optimize your skincare, and offer the highest quality of natural supplementation.
We will work with you to enable you to stay strong, vital, and happy through the decades to come.
A: What are GLP-1 medications and how does microdosing work?
GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) medications are innovative treatments that work with your body's natural systems to regulate blood sugar, appetite, and metabolism. Think of microdosing as a gentle introduction – by starting with smaller, precisely calculated doses, Dr. Renée can help your body adapt more comfortably while minimizing potential side effects. This thoughtful approach allows for better tolerance and can be particularly effective when combined with other treatments.
How does Dr. Renée determine if GLP-1 microdosing is right for me?
Dr. Renée believes in understanding your complete health story before recommending any treatment. She starts with a comprehensive evaluation that examines your medical history, current health status, and personal health goals. Depending on your personal history she may need to gain further insight through detailed blood work analysis and careful consideration of your lifestyle factors, Dr. Renée creates a clear picture of your metabolic health. This thorough assessment helps ensure that GLP-1 microdosing aligns with your specific needs and health objectives.
Can GLP-1 microdosing be combined with Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)?
When appropriate, combining GLP-1 microdosing with BHRT can create a powerful synergy in your treatment plan. This integrated approach addresses multiple aspects of your health simultaneously – from hormonal balance to metabolic function. Dr. Renée carefully coordinates these treatments to complement each other, potentially enhancing your results in areas such as energy levels, body composition, and overall well-being.
Key benefits of this combined approach include:
Enhanced metabolic regulation

What makes Dr. Renée's approach to GLP-1 microdosing unique?
